Real Wedding: Love Birdies on the Golf Course
When I first met Megan & Drew, their wedding plans consisted of an intimate ceremony at the family cabin in Michigan followed by a larger reception in Colorado with all their friends & family.
It wasn't long before the plan shifted to a full wedding at the Golf Club where Drew's family has been teeing off for years, in Denver. Selfishly, I loved this because it gave us more face-time with them. *Megan, I loved our coffee & cocktail dates, especially when the wedding planning turned into a couple of girlfriends catching up on life - you're such a sweet, lovely human being!*
From the get-go, both Megan & Drew were very involved in wedding planning. Something I love, because it helps me get to know our couples as a couple! What was obvious was how much love these two have for each other and their families. Consistently asking what each thought of this idea or that detail. How would their guests enjoy this location or that food item. The marriage was obviously the main event, but post ceremony was about showing everyone a great time!
Our favorite personal details of this wedding were carting around to significant spots on the golf course for photos & the handwritten vows to each other (major tear jerkers). As for the wedding day experience, we loved the high energy, party atmosphere put forth by Diamond Empire Band, the garden-like centerpieces, the soft pink & grey colors and various lighting aspects from Lighting & Design by Scott (beautiful ambiance)!
Most of all, we loved working with Megan & Drew. Their overarching kindness/thoughtfulness throughout planning, coupled with an overwhelming excitement/happiness on wedding day made for the perfect experience on our end. I loved getting to know these two & can't wait to follow their journey together.
